SHOPPING & ORDERING

Q: HOW DO I CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT AND REGISTER?

A:To create an account simply select "e;My Account"e; in the upper right hand corner and fill in the appropriate information. All of your billing information will be stored on our secure servers to make all future purchases that much easier.

Q: HOW DOES THE SHOPPING CART WORK?

A:Our shopping cart allows you to to select one or more products for purchase, calculates the totals and stores this information for check out.

Q: WHAT'S INVOLVED IN THE CHECKOUT PROCESS?

A:Our check out process involves totaling your online purchase, calculates appropriate shipping and taxes and finalizing your purchase by billing the credit card of your choice. All transactions are processed via our secure servers.

Q: WILL I RECEIVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION?

A:Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation from us via e-mail. However, certain ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and spam filters block e-mail from unknown parties, and as a result, occasionally confirmations do not reach customers. We suggest that you unblock our e-mail address to ensure that we are able to communicate with you regarding your order. This is the only way in which you will receive updates regarding your order. Q: WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

A:We gladly accept MasterCard and Visa online. For mail orders, you may also pay by personal check or money order (please make checks and money orders payable to CHARMED LIFE, INC). We will ship your order once your check clears. You can download an order form online.

Q: IS THERE SALES TAX FOR ONLINE ORDERS?

A:California residents are required to pay sales tax on all purchases that will be automatically calculated and added to your order. Out-of-state customers are required to pay sales tax according to their individual state's tax requirements.

Q: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I CANCEL AN ORDER?

A:If you choose to cancel your order, please be sure to e-mail or phone us with your request immediately. Until you receive a confirmation of cancellation in writing, you should assume that the order is still in our system and is being processed.

Q: IS IT SAFE TO ORDER ONLINE? HOW DOES A SECURE SITE WORK?

A:Yes, we encrypt all information sent via the Internet, so that data arrives privately and securely to its destination. Orders placed on our site are encrypted using SSL* technology. You'll notice that you enter a secure site when a padlock icon appears in the status bar of your browser (usually at the bottom). This states that all of the information passed between your computer and our computer will be encrypted. Our computer will tell your computer how to encrypt all information passed between the two using encryption that can only be decoded on our server. Your computer will do such before sending any information onto the phone wire and out onto the Internet and eventually to our computer. When it reaches our server, it will be decoded and logged to our database for processing.

*Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is technology used by vendors to ensure the security of online business. It negotiates and employs the essential functions of mutual authentication, data encryption and data integrity for secure transactions.

Q: IS E-MAIL SECURE?

A:E-mail is not encrypted, so there is a risk when transmitting sensitive information, such as your credit card number. Please note that if you choose to e-mail us sensitive information, we will protect this information to the best of our ability, but it is ultimately at your own risk.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

A:Your order will be processed and shipped within 72 hours of receipt, depending on product availability. If a product is on "e;Backorder,"e; we will contact you via e-mail. All orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, unless otherwise indicated. Please allow 7-14 days for delivery, including the 72 hour processing window, but in most cases, delivery will be sooner (Priority Mail generally takes 2-4 days). Orders must be received by 10:00am PST and product must be in stock in order to ship via Express Mail.

Please note: Express Mail is shipped overnight in most cases. If you ship to a remote location, arrival may take 2 days.

EXPRESS MAIL WILL NOT BE SHIPPED ON SATURDAYS OR ON HOLIDAYS. ALL EXPRESS MAIL RECEIVED ON SATURDAY WILL BE PROCESSED THE FOLLOWING MONDAY AND ALL EXPRESS MAIL RECEIVED ON A HOLIDAY WILL BE SHIPPED THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.


Q: HOW CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY ORDER?

A:You will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your order, as well as an e-mail with a tracking number once your order ships. If you need to check the status, we prefer to receive e-mails (please e-mail us atinfo@shopclj.com). Or you can call714.282.8956or toll-free1.866.3MY.DISKbetween the hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm PST.

Please note that our phones are set up as an automated system, so you will need to leave a detailed message and a representative will call you back. We do our best to respond to all e-mails and phone calls within a 24-hour time period.

PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST THE STATUS OF YOUR ORDER UNTIL THE 72-HOUR PROCESSING WINDOW IS OVER.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A RESPONSE VIA PHONE?

A:We do our best to answer all phone calls within a 24-hour time period between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm PST, but please keep in mind that this could take longer during peak periods. Our phone system is an automated system in which you have to leave a message – you will not get a “live” person until your phone call is returned. If you leave a message over the weekend, you will not receive a call until the following Monday. We recommend using e-mail, as this is the best way to get a hold of us.

Q: DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS AND PACKAGING?

A:Yes, we include a pre-messaged gift card with your order and all of our jewelry is shipped in a “CL” jewelry box. If the package is being sent as a gift, the recipient will receive a packing slip only with no pricing. We will mail a receipt to the sender.

Q: HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?


A:The following shipping and handling terms supersede all prior agreements or understandings. CL Jewelry reserves the right to make rate changes and modifications at any time during service. Acceptance of these terms will be constituted upon order placement.

All orders -except Express Mail - are generally processed within 72 hours and then shipped. During high volume periods (i.e. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Christmas), orders may take a day or two longer to process. We do our best to expedite the processing of all orders. You will receive notification via e-mail when your order has been shipped or is at the store, along with tracking information.

LOCAL PICK-UP @ SUNNY SMITH:

STANDARD LOCAL PICK-UP
We offer local pick-up for free at Sunny Smith Surf Shop located at 1814 N. Tustin, Orange, CA 92865. Please click on the “local pick-up” link at the bottom of the page for specific information on Sunny Smith.

EXPRESS LOCAL PICK-UP
If you would like “Express Local Pick Up,” there will be a fee of $9.95. This will get your order to the store by the next business day if you order is placed by 10am. Please click on the “local pick-up” link at the bottom of the page for specific information on Sunny Smith.

USPS EXPRESS MAIL (*overnight delivery; if shipped to a remote location, it may take 2 days). Express Mail is shipped the same day if received by 10am PST; otherwise, it is shipped the next business day. If an item is on backorder, the customer will be notified.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We offer international shipping for Canadian orders only. Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. Any additional charges, fees or documentation automatically becomes the recipient's responsibility. International orders are generally processed within 5 business days and then shipped via USPS Global Express Mail for $25 (this includes shipping and handling). Global Express Mail generally takes 3-5 days, depending on the destination, once it leaves our facility.

Q: DO YOU SHIP TO APO (ARMY POST OFFICE) ADDRESSES?

A:Yes, we do ship to APO/FPO addresses. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing and then Priority Mail® parcels will take 10 to 15 days. Note: Transit times will vary depending on operational conditions and the unit of the addressee. Those in established bases should continue to receive regular service, while those in forward areas or engaged in operations may experience longer arrival times due to logistical constraints.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has requested that those who send mail use the service member’s full name (with or without grade, rank, etc.), or a specific title (e.g., Commanding Officer, Supply Officer, etc.). Also required is the unit designation and APO/FPO (Air/Army Post Office™ or Fleet Post Office) information with the nine-digit ZIP Code (if one is assigned).

Q: WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY?

A:Jewelry can be refunded within 30 days of your order being shipped and will be credited back in the same form as the original payment method. If you return an item after the 30-day window, we reserve the right to assess a 15% re-stocking fee. We will gladly replace defective merchandise up to 30 days of the sale. Damaged or incorrectly shipped items are eligible for a full product refund, which will be credited back in the same form as the original payment method.PERSONALIZED ORDERS ARE FINAL SALE.

Merchandise must be received as it was packaged, and we reserve the right to reject a return if after inspection, we determine that it has not been returned in the condition that it was sent to the customer. Additionally, altered items or items that are deemed not to be ours will be returned to the customer. We recommend that you insure your package or send it with a tracking number, as we cannot be responsible for damaged or lost merchandise that occurs in transit to us.

Q: WHAT IS AN RA# AND WHY DO I NEED IT?

A:“RA#” stands for RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. We request that you e-mail us for one simply so that we can track the exchanges and returns we have coming in, as well as make the notations on the customer’s individual account.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY EXCHANGE?

A:It will take approximately one week to process and ship your exchange from the date we receive it. A new shipping charge will apply and will be charged to the credit card we have on file, unless the merchandise was defective or damaged when it was received. Additional charges may apply if there is a change is size or style. We will issue you a receipt.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN? WHEN WILL IT BE CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT?

A:We generally process returns within a week of receiving them. You will receive a refund receipt via e-mail. Once we credit you, the money is taken from our account, so we have no control over how long your bank/credit card company takes to deposit the money back to your account. It should be credited within 1-2 billing cycles at the most.

JEWELRY

Q: WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE AFFIRMATION DISCS?

A:The affirmation discs are slightly smaller than an inch in diameter and are about as thick as a quarter.

Q: CAN THE AFFIRMATION DISCS BE PERSONALIZED WITH NAMES, DATES, ETC.?

A:Yes, we do offer personalization of the affirmation discs. Please refer to our PERSONALIZATION section on the SHOP page under CREATE YOUR OWN DISC.

Q: DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM SIZES?

A:No, at this time we only offer the sizes listed online. We do our best to offer a variety of sizes and styles that are standard in the jewelry industry.

Q: HOW DO I CLEAN AND CARE FOR MY STERLING SILVER JEWELRY?
